More about Labrador Lifeline
The Labrador Lifeline Trust is a charity dedicated to rescuing, rehoming and helping Labradors. They are now in their sixteenth year of helping Labradors in need of new homes and their main priority is placing the right dog in the right home. They cover the areas of Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, New Forest, Hertfordshire, Newark and Trent, Parts of Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Surrey and West Sussex. They are a Labrador Rescue very dedicated to their cause.
The Labrador Lifeline Trust is a registered Charity (number 1076061) operating throughout the UK. They are a Kennel Club Accredited Breed Rescue and are required to maintain high standards in breed welfare.
They do not use outside home checkers because they like to know their families and what sort of dog would suit them and their lifestyle. That way they know that they get the right dog in the right home. All their helpers have regular training on how to assess dogs and homes correctly. Once they place a dog they maintain contact with the home and are always available to give help and support should it be necessary.
In the majority of cases they know the full history of the dog which includes veterinary history and all this information is passed on to a new home. It is not in the interests of the dog or the new home to withhold any information. Where they do not have the full history they will not rehome where there are children under 14 or visiting grandchildren.
They never turn a dog away through illness, age or infirmity.

The dogs not only provide practical day to day assistance with tasks that may be difficult, painful,or impossible to perform, depending on the individual circumstances, but they also provide that special companionship, unconditional love and affection which is so unique to dogs. And of course, Canine Partner dogs are specially selected to show these attributes in abundance.
Caring for and managing the daily needs of a dog not only enriches human life in practical ways, but provides physiological, psychological and social benefits that help keep people healthy and happy. Research in this area is well documented. However, in the case of our Canine Partners assistance dogs, this effect is magnified several times over.
